Our Adoption Process

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs/puppies, you will need to fill out our adoption application. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to let you know whether or not you have been approved to adopt the animal/s in question. Once the adoption application has been approved, a time will be set up for you to meet with the dog/puppy and you can then decide if you feel that they are what you are looking for for your family. We strongly suggest that all members of the "household" family attend this meeting so you can make sure that everyone "gets along". We reserve the right to schedule a home check  if we feel necessary in cases where the yard size or fence height might be an issue for the dog, or if you are unable to provide a vet reference. Our mission is to place these dogs into the perfect home so that they will never be dropped off at another shelter again.

Each dog/puppy will have an adoption fee that will be based on the amount of money that we have spent to rescue, vaccinate and spay/neuter. We are not rich and we do not make any money rescuing these animals. We lose money.  If you take into account the cost of the gas to drive and rescue them, the rescue fee, the vet exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, etc. , the adoption fee is only a fraction of what we have really spent on them. The adoption fee that we charge will be used to rescue more dogs/puppies over and over again. Please understand this. When you adopt a dog from us, you are not only rescuing one life, but you are helping us to save another.

Along with the adoption fee, there is an Adoption Contract. This is to be completed before you take your new family member home with you. This is the last step in the adoption process.
