Charlie
Charlie is a tri-colored Pointer Hound Mix. He currently weighs 63 lbs. He was saved from being put to sleep at a high kill shelter. We were told that he was used for hunting and then his owner just decided that he didn't want him anymore. We're not sure how good of a hunter he was, but we know that he will make a great companion. He is so loving and sweet and all he wants is love in return. Charlie was estimated to be around 2 years old, however we think he may be older than that. Charlie likes to lay out in the sun and is very laid back. Prior to Charlie being neutered, he occasionally showed some aggression towards other male dogs, but since he has been neutered there have not been any problems. He gets along great with the female dogs at his foster home. He has been around our two small children and he has always been fine with them. We are not sure about cats. Charlie tested positive for heartworms when we rescued him but he has already been treated for them and he is doing fine. He has been neutered and he is up to date on his vaccinations and monthly heartworm prevention. We are waiving Charlie's adoption fee , however, an adoption application must be submitted and approved before meeting this dog. We will also require a vet reference. Please contact us for more info.
